Pearl said it had signed an agreement with Levant extending its period of exclusivity to acquire the oilfields until the 7 June.
It is the second such extension, with the pair agreeing in March to extend the deadline until 17 May.
Pearl said on Thursday that it was in the final stage of negotiation for the terms and conditions of a sale and purchase agreement with Levant.
