Mexico's government-led oil company said in the country's official gazette that the work aimed to strengthen the internal reporting culture and promote the "efficacy, efficiency and economics" of projects and programmes.
Panels will focus on both financial and operational matters, taking on tasks including evaluating of present controls, identifying possible problems and improving the quality of available information, Pemex said.
The company did not further identify specific actions it would take.
