The new RIG consortium will carry out work for the two 150,000-barrel per day FPSOs in Rio de Janeiro's Inhauma shipyard once hulls arrive from China's Cosco shipyard.
Upstream previously reported the consortium had entered the winning bid, rumoured to be about $1.58 billion. Petrobras did not disclose a monetary value on the contract.
Modules for the units will also be constructed at the Honorio Bicalho yard in Rio Grande.
