The state-led giant estimates that the field, to be renamed Lapa, contains 459 million barrels of oil equivalent, according to its presentation to the country's National Petroleum Agency (ANP) cited in a securities filing.
The area is located in block BM-S-9 about 270 kilometres off Sao Paulo state in 2140 feet of water. Test have indicated the presence of oil of 26 degrees API.
