Petrobras in output start-up at P-58

The state-led giant said the FPSO started production from pre-salt reservoirs in the 7-BFR-7-ESS well, with "excellent productivity as expected".

The unit was installed 85 kilometres off the coast of Espirito Santo state in 1400 metres of water, and has the capacity to process up to 180,000 barrels of oil and 6 million cubic metres of natural gas per day.

The P-58 will ultimately be hooked up to 15 producer wells and nine injection wells in the fields of Baleia Franca, Cachalote, Jubarte, Baleia Azul and Baleia Ana.
