The Brazilian oil giant is one of the largest customers of SBM, which is amid a massive construction programme for floating storage, production and offloading units off Brazil for the country's pre-salt ramp-up.
SBM has denied allegations posted on Wikipedia that executives tried to “contain” the release of information about up to $250 million worth of sales malpractices and accused the purported whistleblower of attempted extortion.
