The Brazil state-led company said daily production during the month averaged 385,000 bpd, but a new output record of 412,000 bpd was set on 27 February.
A major contributor was the newly connected SPS-77 well at the Santos Basin Sapinhoa field, now producing through the Cidade de Sao Paulo floating production, storage and offloading unit.
Brought online on 20 February with Brazil's inaugural riser-buoy system, the well is producing an "excellent" 36,000 bpd, making it the country's best performer, Petrobras said.
