Documents with Brazil’s oil regulator, the ANP, show the industry giant found evidence of oil at its 3-BRSA-1132-RJS well in the BM-S-11 block at a depth of 2197 metres.
The Iara extension well 4 was spud on 17 November with Schahin’s SS Amazonia dynamically positioned rig, aiming to reach pre-salt targets.
Petrobras did not immediately respond to an Upstream request for more details on the well or its objectives.
