The state-led company, which has struggled withmeeting production targets amid a massive push for new pre-salt projects, said oil production in Brazil had slipped to 1.923 million barrels per day from April 2012, which posted output of 1.961 bpd.
The company said it had gotten a boost in April from an end to maintenance work at several platforms and the ramp-up of production at the Cidade de Itajai floating production, storage and offloading facility at the Santos basin Bauna Field.
