The state-led Brazil giant's 1-BRSA-1154-DESS well found evidence of hydrocarbons at its ES-M-525 block in 1824 feet of water, according to information filed with the country's National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANP).
The probe was spud on 1 August 2012 with Transocean's Petrobras 10000 drillship, ANP data indicated.
Petrobras has previously said it does not comment on oil indications.
The company made two finds on the block disclosed in 2011.
