Petrobras divided the tender into two lots, A and B,and asked contractors to submit vessels for four-year periods.

Lot A called for vessel delivery in the fourth quarterof 2014, while lot B asked for units to be delivered in the second quarter of2015.

Monaco-based Compagnie Maritime Monegasque (CMM) wasthe lone bidder in category A, proposing three OSRVs for dayrates ofapproximately $20,000 each.

One well-informed source said the three OSRVs offeredby CMM are newbuilds from Dutch shipbuilder Damen Shipyard.

CMM and Angel Shipping submitted three and twovessels, respectively, in category B, but rates were not disclosed.

It is understood that commercial proposals for lot Bwill only be opened if Petrobras’ total demand for OSRVs in lot A is not met.
