The Brazil state player has already cut its operations from 23 to 17 countries in the last year, shutting 15 offices, said chief executive Maria das Gracas Foster.
"We are working so that our international assets are managed more efficiently, so improving the quality of that portfolio, especially in exploration," she said according to a company statement.
"Accordingly, we are increasingly more focused on the development of the pre-salt in Brazil."
