Singapore-listed PSC partner RH Petrogas said the Klagalo-1 probe was spudded on Tuesday using the drilling rig Huabei Rig 6. It is expected to take about 38 days to be drilled to a total depth of 2085 metres.
The Klagalo prospect was identified in 2004 following a 290-square kilometre 3D seismic survey conducted in the PSC. It is located in an area close to Sorong City and is about nine kilometres east of the two North Klalin oil and gas discoveries.
