The UK-listed company is seeing recovery of between 10% and 15%, and the prospects controlled by state oil firm Pemex are not unlike a “basket of apples” where each was only bitten once, Ayman Asfari said.
In other words, some exploration would take place before the focus would shift to a newer and more exciting prospect.
“These fields have been underinvested for 50 to 100 years,” Asfari told attendees at an IHS CeraWeek breakfast.
