Swala’s subsidiary Swala Oil & Gas awarded the contract to Polaris on the basis of an extension to a 2013 contract.
Polaris carried out the seismic acquisition programme over the two licences in 2013 when the company carried out work over five basins and identified the Kito prospect.
The minimum commitment work programme for the contract has just been awarded for up to 500 kilometres of 2D seismic over the licence and another 200 kilometres over the Pangani licence.
