Statoil is the working operator for the Johan Sverdrup field along with partners Lundin Petroleum, Petoro, Det Norske Oljeselskap and Maersk Oil.
Originally, power-from-shore plans would have seen the field jointly served by an integrated power solution for the Utsira High area of the Norwegian North Sea.
The cluster solution would have also served the state operator's Gina Krog field as Lundin Petroleum’s Edvard Grieg field and Det Norske Oljeselskap’s Ivar Aasen field.
