Primepoint swoops on KCA Deutag rigs

The privately-owned rig player has entered into an agreement topurchase the entire share capital of KCA Deutag’s tender drilling business,along with three rigs, the Glen Affric, the Glen Tanar and the Glen Esk,according to a document obtained by Upstream.

KCA Deutag had previously acquired the three rigs from GlobalTender Barges.

Primepoint will take over the drilling equipment for thethree rigs as well as Glen Affric’s standing drilling charter with Thailand's PTTEP offMyanmar.
