Joint venture partner Tap Oil revealed on Monday the Malida-1 well had reached a total depth of 3111 metres, with data gathered while drilled indicating the presence of hyrdocarbons in the primary target, adding wireline logging was already underway to obtain further data to evaluate the well.
The well was spudded earlier this month with the aim of testing for the development of the main Miocene age interval of the Manora oil bearing sands in an independent fault dependent structure, east of the Manora oilfield.
