Ireland's Department of Energy has approved the additionof 180 square kilometres to the south and south-east of the original StandardExploration Licence 1/11.
Providence Resources technical director John O’Sullivan saidthat according to the company’s latest data “the structural closure as mappednow appears to extend further to the south and south-east”.
He cautioned the undrilled extension was not proven but saidanalysis suggested “potential significant volumetric upside” to the field.
