The Milan-based contractor secured the award for the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (Adma-Opco) -operated field from UAE-based construction company Emirates Holding.
It will design and supply about 200 kilometres of submarine cables to distribute energy to oil towers and platforms at the Zakum field.
Prysmian's UAE and Finland operations will service the contract for the submarine electrification project, which will see first delivery in November and final delivery in mid-2015.
