The for-sale properties will be concentrated primarily in the Midcontinent region of the US and are expected to be sold during the first half of 2014.
QEP has hired an advisor to sell the properties in multiple packages, with the first two comprising acreage in the Granite Wash play in the Texas Panhandle and the Cana Woodford play in Oklahoma.
Those packages will go on sale starting in mid-February and deals are expected to close by July.
