He will take over the post following the retirement of Derek Fisher.
Ingram has been deputy managing director since last September and project director of the Queensland Curtis Liquefied Natural Gas (QCLNG) project since early 2012.
He moved to the Australian subsidiary from BG Group where he served as asset general manager of the company’s interest in Kazakhstan, having joined the company after 20 years at Occidental Oil & Gas.
