Speaking at the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration conference in Brisbane on Wednesday, Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney highlighted the importance of the industry to the state.
There are currently three CBM to liquefied natural gas projects being constructed in the east Australian state which, when operational, Seeney said were expected to contribute A$3 billion (US$2.9 billion) to the state’s gross domestic product every year.
