Ramboll will carry out pre-front-end engineering and design studies for a drilling platform complex and topside living quarters for the planned Yuri S Kuvykin gas condensate field in the Russian sector of the sea.
The platforms will be designed to operate in Arctic-like conditions, given temperatures can sink to minus 21 degrees Celsius during the winter, with Ramboll also to look at winterisation of the facilities that will be prone to sea ice.
