Rawson has entered into a share purchase agreement to take another 62.5% interest in the permit.
The company has bought the remaining interest from Hardie Energy.
Otway holds two exploration permits, PEL154 and PEL155, in the Otway basin in South Australia.
Rawson said the Otway basin had “seen an upsurge in exploration activity which is set to continue in 2014”.
The permits are prospective for conventional and unconventional resources.
