Petroleum Commissioner Immanuel Mulunga told the Namibian newspaper on Tuesday that despite the disappointment he still sees hope for discoveries off the coast with four wells scheduled in the next 12 months.
"We are still confident that will make the discovery," he told the newspaper.
About 18 wells off the country have failed to turn up commerical oil, according to the Namibian.
