Saudi Aramco boss Khalid Al-Falih told an audience at IHS Cera Week that the company is also drilling ahead with a semi-submersible on a deep sub-salt well with results expected within weeks.
“Deep water is very promising for us,” he said, without divulging specifics. "I am happy we are performing extremely well.”
Al-Falih highlighted the efforts of the Saudi upstream powerhouse to diversify further into natural gas and unconventional resources, as well as downstream operations and alternative fuels like solar power.
