The nation's prolific LNG industry requires strong regulatory reform to remain competitive against the growing markets in the US and East Africa, according to peak Australian body Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA).
Association director of economics Damian Dwyer said the country needed to reform its Fair Work Act and allow the flow of overseas workers to maintain productivity.
