The reports surfaced almost three months after the Spanish player struck a preliminary compensation agreement with Argentina in Novemberwith help from Mexico state company Pemex.
Repsol executives were in Buenos Aires this week for meetings, news outlets including the Financial Times and Bloomberg said, ahead of a company board meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
