GE-supplied bolts on an H4 Connector were flagged as a safety alert by regulators and the manufacturer after they were reported as failing and causing a drilling mud spill at a Gulf of Mexico drillsite.
Noble said that four of its floater rigs used the bolts and two had already been inspected. An additional two will need to complete inspections, it said in a Thursday Fleet Status update.
