The ZD CP2N-H-2 well is being drilled from the Zhao Dong C4 platform with a total planned depth of 3283 metres.
Roc said on Tuesday the well was the final obligation well for the block and if successful and declared commercial, it would be tied in to existing facilities at its adjoining Zhao Dong Block.
The Zhanghai Block was added to Roc’s existing Zhao Dong Block contract in March 2011, along with the adjoining Chenghai Block.
