The unidentified assailants attacked theSarir oilfield in the north-east of the oil-rich country on Thursday, securityanalyst AKE Group wrote in a report on Friday.
The gunmen attacked the military army unitthat was protecting the site, operated by Arabian Gulf Oil Company (Agoco), theBenghazi-based subsidiary of Libya’s National Oil Corporation.
The attack was repelled and there are no reportsof any deaths or injuries.
