Initialsurvey work is focusing on the Yuzhno-Chukotsky block and will ultimately coverall six licences in the Chukchi and Laptev seas included in the pair’sco-operation agreement, on which work is moving forward despite Westernsanctions against Russia over its seizure of Crimea from Ukraine.
Three airplanesare being deployed for the survey, due to be completed by year-end, that will covera total area of 440,000 square metres and also include the Ust-Lensky, Ust-Oleneksky,Anisinsko-Novosibirsky and Severo-Vrangelevsky 1 and 2 licences.
