The Irish independent has commissioned a study of the oilshale retorting project on the newly-acquired shallow oil shale mining area.
London-listed San Leon has been awarded blocks 13, 14, 15and 16 on its Tarfaya oil shale acreage which previously comprised 6000 squarekilometres. The new blocks together make up just 16 sqkm.
In addition, the company has extended its agreement for insitu extraction at Tarfaya for another two years, stretching to March 2014.
