A targeted appraisal programme opened up another 117,000acres in the remote Sumner County in Kansas that Sandridge had under lease, prospectivefor the Mississippi Lime.

The company has drilled five wells in Sumner County thatproduced at an average 30-day rate of 601 barrels equivalent per day, which wasabout 90% above the company’s Mississippian type curve and included about 70%oil.

Sandridge now plans to drill another 45 wells in SumnerCountry in 2014.
