The company previously hit about 40 metres of net gas pay in the stacked sands of the Late Jurassic Angel and Late Triassic Mungaroo formations while drilling the Winchester-1 probe in July.
The well was then deepened to a total depth of 4019 metres to evaluate the gas-bearing potential of further objectives in the Mungaroo section.
Project partner Octanex said on Friday that a more recent analysis of wireline logs, pressure testing and formation sampling has increased the confirmed condensate-bearing net gas pay to 58 metres.
