Toronto-listed Bengal said production testing on the recently drilled Cuisinier wells in ATP 752P had been completed, recording a combined initial rate of new oil production from the Murta formation of about 800 barrels per day.
Flow line construction has started with the wells anticipated to commence production around late October.
Bengal said the Barta North-1 well, which was drilled in July, had already been flow line connected and was expected to start producing this week at about 70 bpd.
