The Canadian arm of the Norwegian major said Thursday the West Hercules, which is currently under contract to Statoil in the Barents Sea, will work on the Bay du Nord discovery off eastern Canada.
It will arrive in the North Atlantic by the third quarter of 2014 to conduct further exploration in the Flemish Pass basin and appraisal work in the Bay du Nord area, located within the Flemish Pass.
