The state-led Brazil firm's second well was hooked up to the Cidade de Paraty floating production, storage and offloading unit on Monday and began producing at a rate of 28,000 barrels per day, Petrobras said Wednesday.
The FPSO, which saw first oil in June, now boasts output of 58,000 bpd, putting Brazil pre-salt production at a new record of 390,000 bpd.
