TheNorwegian technology outfit, which has hitherto focused mainly on floating productionprojects such as Eni’s Goliat field in the Barents Sea, now is widening itssights to other opportunities as it sees technical and economic advantages fromusing the concept in the harsh-environment region, according to its vicepresident for business development Fredrik Major.

He revealedthe company had earlier established a preliminary design of a floatingliquefaction (FLNG) unit based on the Sevan cylindrical hull concept and theLNG train technology from its subsidiary Kanfa Aragon.
