The application to convert production licence AC/L9 into a retention lease was lodged with the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA) following the completion of the joint venture in October.
The application process included the establishment of an agreed detailed work programme to progress the earliest possible commercialisation of the Crux field.
Nexus told the Australian Securities Exchange on Wednesday that the joint venture would now review the attaching conditions to the retention lease offer and have up to 30 days to formally accept.
