The application to convert the Browse basin production licence AC/L9 into a retention lease was lodged with the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator following the completion of the joint venture, which also includes Japan’s Osaka Gas, in October.
The lease offer was received at the end of January and the parties had 30 days to review and formally accept its conditions.
