Speaking at the official opening of Singpore’s Jurong Island LNG terminal, Lee Hsien Loong said that a second terminal would “enhance our energy security by geographically diversifying our LNG import infrastructure”, Bloomberg reported.
The Jurong Island facility has been ramping up its capacity since receiving its first imports last May.
A third tank has now been completed, doubling capacity to six million tonnes per annum, Lee said.
