The resignation of Robert Sirleaf as chairman was acceptedby President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf – who is his mother and who also acceptedhis resignation as a senior advisor to the president’s office.
In his letter dated Tuesday, Robert Sirleaf wrote: “Myresignation fulfills your promise made to the Liberian people that my rolewould end when reforms were in place.
“I happily and freely return to my life as a private citizenof Liberia.”
