The company sold the first shipment of 95 barrels of oil, produced from the Temblor sandstone reservoir, in late December.
Solimar said the crude was sold at US$94 per barrel, which was 4% higher than the West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices, due to the local crude market in California favouring heavy oil producers. It did not disclose the buyer of the crude.
