The company said on Monday that the Italian Ministry of Economic Development had visited the field on 19 April and completed a successful commissioning inspection, with the endorsement of the local fire brigade.
Sound chief executive James Parsons said the company expected to soon achieve strategic milestones of first gas and first revenue.
“Rapagnano is one of our smaller assets however it establishes the company as a gas producer and builds a foundation for further growth,” Parsons said in a statement.
