The 35/11-17 probe hit a 48-metre gross oil column in Middle Jurassic reservoir rocks in the Brent formation, of which 10 metres had “good reservoir quality”, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).
In addition, a 38-metre gross oil column was found in the secondary target in the Fensfjord formation, of which 20 metres was of decent quality, and another 10-metre oil column was uncovered in the Lower Jurassic Oseberg structure.
