The 34/10-54S and 34/10-54A wildcats, drilled by semi-submersible Transocean Leader in Statoil-operated production licence 050 ES, have unearthed recoverable oil and gas resources of between 20 million and 75 million barrels of oil equivalent at the Valemon North prospect, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).
“By proving additional volumes in the area we increase the reserves base in the Valemon Unit area and add value to the Valemon field development,” said Statoil’s senior vice president for exploration Norway, Irene Rummelhoff.
