Mexico opportunities must stack up well enough to essentially displace projects already in the portfolio of Statoil as the company becomes more selective about taking on new exploration activity, Jez Averty, senior vice president of exploration for North America, told Upstream in an exclusive interview at IHS Cera Week in Houston.
“What the Mexican government and authorities have managed to achieve with the reforms is quite ground breaking and really impressive,” Averty said.
