The Swedish independent will use the semi-submersible Transocean Arctic to drill the 33/2-1 well at the prospect in production licence 555 in the northern North Sea.
This will be the first well to be drilled on the licence that was granted in 2010.
The licence contains Block 33/2 and is situated about 200 kilometres west of Maloy.
Lundin is the operator on 60%, with German partner Bayerngas on 40%.
